Course Summary:
This program will create an awareness of various aspects that make up the business etiquette required in the working environment. It will enable you to take the practical ideas and implement them in the work place.

Target Audience:
For employees in all disciplines, especially those whose jobs place an emphasis on teamwork.

None

Course Objectives:
After completing this workshop, the student should be able:

  • To learn the basics of business etiquette
  • To realise how a pleasant personality, a positive self-image and good deportment are the foundations of appropriate personal behaviour
  • To ensure professional appearance, good grooming and business attire
  • To understand the importance of basic business etiquette in the office and the various parts of basic business etiquette
  • To understand how various cultures, both within south Africa and abroad, deal with the important social behaviour of meeting, greeting, introducing and saying farewell to people, would impact on business
  • To understand cultural differences regarding time, touch and personal space
  • To understand the importance of effective business presentations, telephone techniques, electronic communication, business meetings, entertaining and business travel.
