Course Summary:
Are you planning to Web-enable your CICS applications? Learn the process of accessing CICS from a Web browser in this lab-intensive course. Gain hands-on experience building HTML forms that will invoke CICS programs and transactions on the mainframe. Also, learn the components and operation of CICS Web Support, the 3270 Bridge, and Web enabling legacy CICS applications.

Target Audience:
This course is for experienced CICS developers, system designers and system programmers who require skills for Web-enabling CICS applications.

Recommended Prerequisites:
The participant should have a sound understanding of the CICS environment and some Internet experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Course Objectives:
After completing this course, the student should be able to: Delegates will be able to code the programming changes required to run 3270 based transactions from the Internet/Intranet and to code new Web aware programs using the CICS WEB and DOCUMENT API.
