The Board and Management of Verhoef Training continually seeks to ensure that our BEE Strategy and implementation thereof is a genuine commitment and value adding process for all parties concerned and as such respect the stipulations of the Employment Equity Act of 1998.
In accordance with the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, No 53 of 2003 as well as the Codes of Good Practice as released by the Department of Trade and Industry, Verhoef Training has been BEE verified.
We are pro-actively translating the scorecard initiatives into goals and targets for Black Economic Empowerment and will continue to enhance our contribution to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment through these initiatives. Verhoef Training's BEE procedures are monitored and evaluated annually by our SANAS approved BEE verification agent, BEE Rating Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
The following is Verhoef Training's Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Strategy:
EMPLOYMENT EQUITYVerhoef Training is continually aiming to improve it's Employment Equity and achievements in accordance with new targets as set out in our Management Development Programme.
MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMETo enable Verhoef Training to gradually become more reflective of the RSA composition, we set staff composition targets linked to business expansion and will continue to identify, train and develop employees who have management/entrepreneurial potential as part of a succession-planning program for BEE.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENTWe extended our current internship to allow for further skills development. Focussing on personal and business development of the individual. As such skills development is performed with on the job training as well as continued external tutoring funded by Verhoef Training.
We are committed to continually identify, train and develop individuals who have potential to be part of this programme and upon successful completion, to be employed by either Verhoef Training or elsewhere. Development and support is given to ensure barriers to growth of Employee Equity candidates are minimised and personal growth plans are implemented for staff.
PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT OF SUPPLIERSVerhoef Training encourages transformation throughout the entire economy and as such promotes BEE compliance by all entities. We continuously strive to actively source vendors that will qualify as Black Economic Empowerment companies and/or individual service providers. We encourage our suppliers to participate and support these BEE initiatives.
ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENTVerhoef Training actively engages in the upliftment and upskilling of the staff at a local BEE Company in order to support and empower the workers in terms of their economic well being. This in turn assists with the development of the business as well as progress.
Verhoef Training continues to identifying other avenues for implementation of enterprise development.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY/LOCAL UPLIFTMENTThis is a long-term commitment and Verhoef Training is continually looking to identify and build relationships with local social institutions involved in the upliftment of disadvantaged people. We support the Assanda Villiage, Nobulali Club, which are specifically involved in providing funds, procuring and delivering food to destitute families or families in need.
CUSTOMER INVOLVEMENTEncourage our customers to participate and support BEE and Social Responsibility initiatives.
